Woohoo! Friday is here. I could hug a stranger... darn I'm happy. :)
Had a good sleep last night (finally). Was in bed by 9 and before I knew it, alarm clock went off. Was that tired. Today seems set to be a great day though! Good weather, fun workout, great breakfast, and no pending work or presentations! :) I so so love Fridays... any strangers need a hug?
Did something different last evening. Brought rabbits out to the garden for the first time. Wallaby was hopping about everywhere! When in the house, they can't really hop but rather glide since their fur slips on the floor. So on grass, Wallaby really kicked up the dirt and scooted here and there. Wombat on the other hand, the supposedly bigger and machoier of the two, daren't step off the cement landing. Apparently, since he's never been on grass before, he has no guts too. Could see his eyes wide open in petrified terror. Silly silly rabbit. Bumped him off the landing and only then did he take tentative steps. Gonna have to do this more often. Rabbits that are afraid of grass has some serious pyschological upsets.
For plans this Sunday, looks like its Meng, HL, Chun and I. Will do the scheduling via yahoo today. :) Have a good weekend all!

Am... in... zombie... mode... today... (yawn)...
10th Kingdom is finally finally over... phew... t'was a great series but since NTV7 idiots have no common sense, the screening hours have left me very very sleep deprived. Woke up this morning and almost reversed into a closed gate. Almost drank my Shokubutsu orange bath thinking its juice. Lost count endless times doing gym routine (1 and 2 and 4 and erm 8?). I need sleep. Gonna hit me pillow by 8pm tonite.
For those who did catch the show and saw the whole series, wasn't it fun? Ending hinted of a sequel though which unfortunately never got made. Ah well...
Six Feet Under was weird this week. Don't know about the rest of you but the show is bordering on insanity so much so that the entertainment value leaves much to be desired. Sad. Possibly just me though.
Can't wait for Friday and the weekend... anyone up for an outing this Sunday? Hands up please...

I need sleep. This 10th Kingdom series is just so late! Gah... thank goodness it's the last episode today. Can finally revert to some sleep-time normalcy after today. Intriguing show though... Snow White sure leaves room for the imagination.
IKEA people came to deliver my aunt's last bit of furniture. IKEA will be moving soon from 1Utama to Damansara Perdana into their own building. It's going to be a huge structure as their going to move their warehouses in Klang and Shah Alam there as well. Looks like 1Utama will be hardpressed for customers. Don't see any reason to go to 1Utama if IKEA isn't there. Good thing though is that IKEA will be having a major clearance sale to clear all their current stock before they move. Can't wait for that to happen. :)
Had an email from my cousin. Her school in Seattle had a bomb scare so everyone had to duck under tables, lock all doors and pull down the blinds. Can't imagine kids having to go to school with a bomb scare always looming. First bomb scare this month but they had two gun threats earlier. Geez.
Other cousin from Seattle as well finally persuaded parents to let him have pets. He got gerbils and named one of them Jumbuck. :) Everyone loves Jumbuck! For those that have not been to my room, Jumbuck has a memorial shrine on my shelf. Ah... Jumbuck....

It's back to work again. Sigh... am getting a little jaded. Weekends just don't seem long enough anymore. Gosh... I need some prepping up. If only I have time for a 24 hour TV marathon. That normally works.
Desk is cluttered with notes and things to do. Looks like another week cut out with work. It'll be nice to have 1 day with nothing new so I can settle and clear up older stuff that I have neglected.
Rabbits were in USJ alone this weekend. Couldn't bring them down to Melaka simply because I went to work direct on Monday morning. Came back home to see them skinny, weak and tired. Poor things. Aunt didn't quite have the time to manage them. So bathed them, cleaned them up and stuffed them silly. And then Wallaby bit me again. I wonder what this incessant nibbling means. GRRR...
There's this short cartoon on the Disney channel that Chun might find appealing. It's called the 'Untalkative Bunny', and it's on at 7.20pm after Art Attack. The show's about this weirdly drawn bunny that lives in an apartment with a squirrel in a city. All he does is show expressions to whatever he sees, hears, and does. Prettt cutelar but the weird episode was when he got lost in the forest and met a wolf. Rabbit began begging for wolf's mercy then tried shooing it away. Wolf, instead of eating rabbit, proposed marriage. Rabbit freaked out and ran off back to the city into the arms of the squirrel and had a dinner date over candles. Wolf on the other hand changed sights to hit on a hedgehog. Now, that's weird.
Anyone's following the ludicrously timed 10th Kingdom on NTV7? Pretty cool show, but it's just way too late at night. Foresee dark bags under eyes for the next few days.

Hey hey... ah... another fond farewell to a good weekend gone. Am off this Monday so am pretty upbeat about it! Was rather sucky to have to rush back for 1 meeting but at least i have the rest of the day to myself.
Nothing much happened this weekend. Lazed about, watch movies and ate like a pig. T'was good. Will update me blog proper tomorrow when I'm back at work. Slow connection at home is a wee bit troublesome.
*Am using a stolen connection. Sent notebook for service and shop ppl left their internet ID and password on me pc. Since their service is nothing to shout about, I have no guilty pangs in using their account for me internet. Muahahahaha...

You're ice! You can be very cold and distant and you are NOT a people person. You're pretty mean but you can be nice...to a select few.
What element are you?
Week is slowly coming to an end. :) Am all about ready to do the Friday dance of joy. Unlike some of you, I'll be working tomorrow but I'll be off on Monday! Woohoo! Living life like this is freakily sad don't you think? What happened to work being challenging and exciting and life being more than sleeping on weekends? How fast we grew up...
Had a good dinner yesterday. No matter how difficult it is living with your aunt, (difficult as in you end up babysitting every evening and have to wake up to screams and cries every morning), the perks are absolutely hard to pass up. Aunt cooked chicken chops and beef nuggets, yes, beef nuggets. Pretty good stuff and I so like having a good dinner. Not a big fan of breakfast and lunch but dinner I'm passionate about! Gonna miss all this when I eventually move out. Planning to move out by mid next year. First thing I need to get before I ever go though is a tv. No tv no life.
House alarm went off at 3am last nite. I first thought it was my alarm clock and automatically switched it off. Took me a good minute or two to realise that it was the house alarm. Quickly went down to see my half-naked uncle holding a stick and prowling about. Didn't want to embarass him so sneaked up again and slept, making sure I lock the door! Got to train me rabbits to bite room intruders, seeing how very well trained they are at biting butts.
Saw dog catchers this morning. Not a pretty sight to see the first thing in the day but well, Chun should know, there are just too many strays in this area. Dog owners, neuter and spay please, and take responsibility for your pets. Sigh...
To those taking off tomorrow, have a good long weekend! To the rest, see ya at virtual blog as usual. :)

Woohoo... last minute presentation postponed... phew. Am a relieved boy...
Feel a little lighter today. Workload is easing just so to give you breathing space. Let's hope Boss has no hidden surprises. Gonna do some review today of new stuff and places :)
SHOPPING
Went to the Great Eastern Mall last weekend. It seemed weird to me to have an insurance company running a mall but it wasn't too bad. The place is new and pretty well designed. Car park is great, though location is kinda difficult since it's smack in KL. Very upscale though. Pricey and spacious stores. Even the TOPS there is an upscale version, called TOPS MarketPlace. Very cool though, feels like being in US coz everything there IS from the US. You can get tv dinners, cheeses of all kinds, and even blueberries!!!! WOOHOO! I love blueberries, especially on cereal but at RM19 a box (that's barely the size of my palm), well, I will just have to pretend it's not there. (Wot? Blueberries? Where?)
FOOD
Saw, dun kill me for this, but I went to Secret Recipe for dinner the other day. Felt like splurging a little and they had a pretty enticing menu. Had mexican chicken which was soury/spicy/tangy with herb rice and salad. Very good... will definitely go back. And Chun, lotsa tomyam stuff here as well. :)
Anyways, starting to get impatient for December the 18th. That's when LOTR is screening btw. Darn... time sure goes by slow when you're at the edge of your seat. And for the record, Wallaby bites my butt because when I change litter boxes, I put them in the cage and block their way (with my butt). So she bites because she wants out, not for any weird inter-species mating ritual (glares at Chun) nor because I have brocolli butt (stares at D3). Nuff said.

Gah... another last minute presentation tomorrow morning. Am getting very stressed out. And I'm going ALONE this time! Oh no... tis gonna be my first huge presentation by myself. Am praying so hard that they will cancel it and postpone. That will at least give me more time to prepare! :(
Am also getting fed up with this wet weather. Why can't it rain in the morning and sun up in the evenings. Sigh... have been using my discounted Giordano umbrella to death.
A little update on me rabbits. Let me rephrase that, not rabbits, but giant furballs with voracious appetites and very small bladders. They seem to be getting heavier everyday and I have lint everywhere! Argh... shed shed shed, eat eat eat, pee pee pee. If they weren't so cute, I'd feed them to the dog. For an idea of how much they've grown, one bunch of vege from Giant used to last 2-3 days. It now lasts for 1/2 hour. I used to change ONE litter box every 2 days. I now have to change TWO litter boxes TWICE a day! Ah... the sacrifices it takes to have pets. I feel like I have children instead.
Wallaby and Wombat was sent to the cage the whole night yesterday for punishment. Wallaby has a new hobby. Biting me in the butt while I change the litter boxes. GRRRR. Wombat on the other hand has a mighty nasty temper. Scratches all over me hand attests to that. GRRR.
(Barbeque is still off, don't bring out the sauces just yet.)

Ah... Monday again. Had an average weekend so nothing to shout about and definitely not all that rejuvenated. Foresee a sucky week ahead. What with endless more presentations and meetings. Have 1 on Saturday as well.... DARN! Since Friday is a holiday, my weekend is ruined. So am mighty peeved about it. But work is work right? We all need the pay cheque at the end of the month.
Was in Megamall on Sunday. Thought of watching Potter again but tickets were sold out for ALL shows that day and the Gold Class was booked all through the weekend. Wows.... big money this Potter franchise. On a similar note, i GOT TICKETS FOR LOTR2!!! Woohoo... I have opening night tickets on the 18th... thanks to Starbucks incidentally. They're selling charity premier tickets for RM20 each but you get a free Latte with it. So ain't too bad. Impatient to watch and I hate queues. Have I said 'woohoo' yet? :)
Oh... and thanks Chun and Saw for the belated birthday gift. The mug is great, and the pig lolly is yet to be devoured. I also have 1 large mug shaped size candy gooey thing! :) But tis ok, makes it all the easier to eat! Muahahahaha...
Anyways, here's to a better week ahead. Must suppress grumpiness. Grrr....

"Spiders? Spiders?! Why can't we be following butterflies!" Ron Weasley
Harry Potter - The Chamber of Secrets was a terrific movie. :) It's everything a fan could want and darn, Hogwarts has never looked so good! Nothing much in the story that's not from the book and visuals are a notch better than the first, so though expected, you still get that 'darn I wish I had a magic wand' kinda feeling.
The cast are growing up... as obvious with the lead actors voices! Ron Weasley was almost croaking his way through and Harry fared no better! Cute... Sad about the Dumbledore actor though... will be hard to replace such an iconic cast. 3D version of him maybe? (hmm). Appetites all whetted now for the next big cultish flick, LOTR2... that's gonna see me in queue days in advance!
Had some drama in the cineplex as well. Some idiot asked another idiot to shut up during a trailer when the whole cineplex was in a buzz (it's a trailer lar, sabar). So second idiot obviously took offense and made a row. Considering how the two idiots were both rude, inconsiderate, and impatient to tussle, will have been great to have them fistfight their way to the hospital. How hard is it to be polite? Obviously some neanderthal genes still left in the gene pool.
Got home late last night so I am about 3 hours short of my usual sleep hours. Darn I'm tired. While washing up in the gym this morning, spilt talc all over me... tried to wash up and realised that menthol talc becomes incredibly frigid on contact with water. Gonna get me a good night's sleep tonight.
Anyway, for all Potter fans, go watch! For non-fans, well, go watch later. :) T'was a good night out! Thanks Chun and Saw for the company.

Back to the office on a wet rainy Thursday morning after a day off yesterday. Went with a bunch of other people to an Adobe seminar, which was sneakily disguised as a design themed seminar but which was another product push forum.
(Oh Adobe is so great, oh Adobe can do this and that, oh Adobe is the one you should buy)
Did learn some cool stuff though, probably made use of 30 mins from the hours listening to sales drivel. Had to leave a little early anyway to prepare for a presentation this morning. Took a cab from the seminar to get to the LRT station. Realised after stepping into the cab that I bloody had to pay RM2 extra just because bloody lobby lady whistled for the cab for me. Am so peeved that I vow to not ever have anything to do with Hotel Istana.
Presentation this morning wasn't all that great. No major slip-ups but could have used a few more rehearsals. I suck at presentation because I have a tendency to daydream (even while talking) and sometimes end up saying the stupidest things. (I'm also monotonously repetitious)
All geared up for Potter. Unlike StarTrek for which I have my suit and comm badge with rank lapels (grin), I will be going to the movie in regular attire (I can hear Chun and Saw breathing sighs of relief). Not that I'm THAT freaky a fan but I am a big fan :D And the StarTrek thing was a joke... don't go thinking things now.
It's gonna be a slow day at work. All I want to do is sleep (and destress after the presentation) and go watch Potter. Will let you know how the movie is tomorrow. :)
(funny quote from 6 feet under:
"It's ok David! I watch porn too.")

Bad traffic last evening... partly due also because I had to make a pit stop at Pyramid and thus had to endure the largely redundant traffic (redundant because it's clogged due to people needing to make u-turns so the cars go round and round and when one lane is backed up, everything's a standstill). Strange thing how the rain slows everything down so badly. I don't know about you but considering that I drive a Kancil (for now), you don't really need to suddenly go at a snail's pace, switch on enough lights to light a stadium, and stay in 2nd gear. Silly silly silly...
I finally have my own set of business cards. Woohoo... don't know why it's such a big deal since people will be calling me more but hey, a business card is like one of the material rungs on the ladder up the corporate lifecycle. Next will be the car, then the apartment. :)
Today I vow to work at least 80% of my time in the office. My current productivity rate of 50-60% is appaling. I must... I MUST!

Blonde In The Breast Stroke Competition
A blonde, a red head and a brunette were competing in the English
Channel Breast Stroke Competition.
The redhead won and the brunette came in second. However, there
was no sign of the final contestant. Hours and hours went by
causing grave concern and worry. Just as everyone was losing
hope, the blonde finally arrived.
The crowd was extremely happy and relieved to see her. They
embraced the young girl as she came ashore. After all of the
excitement died down, she leaned over to the judge and whispered,
"I hate to be a bad loser, but I think those other girls used
their arms."

Ah... Monday again and back to the daily grind. This Monday doesn't feel too bad though, it has good jives. Probably because traffic is good, I have a manageable work slate, and my budgeting looks set to see black soon! :D
Weekend was good. Had fun with the new PC. "No One Lives Forever" is a pretty cool game and it's the first time I'm able to run a game in maximum detail! Woohoo :D Had some good fun decking my bro in Pokemon, the Trading Card game. :) Have a killer Misty deck but others need work.
Woke up this morning to see my aunt on a chair and the dog sniffing out the furniture. Apparently, a mole was spotted and aunt freaked and let the dog loose to snuff it out, which she did. I think dog injured it a tad before I could let it loose outside. Am a little jeeved since I like small animals but what to do, until and unless it's me own house, can't really say all that much!
Anyways, here's to a good week to one and all! Oh, and before I forget, I'm getting tickets for Potter for this Thursday night. Anyone wanna come got to tell me before the day is over. Probably in Pyramid. Lesson learnt from Chun, tickets once bought HAS to be paid whether you can make it or not, so think it through before telling me. Am available in Yahoo or phone or sms.

Went to Pyramid last night after work, both to do some shopping and to collect my computer. Here I am talking about savings and all but once I stepped into the mall yesterday, darn... out came the cards and a shopping we go! :) Have YET to burn my credit limit and most of the stuff are for the office (so it's claimable). I have a huge problem stopping myself from buying stuff... got me a two-vcd set of a concert in tribute of Andrew Lloyd Weber in the Great Hall of the People of China (something like that) yesterday. Gonna sit back and watch it this weekend... darn... I'm such a musical freak... (except for FAME, and that darn recurring theme).
Had to shop for some office attire as well. I used to have a casual dress code but that's gone since I have meetings to attend almost everyday. Darn... I don't quite fancy long sleeves and slack especially when I have to change at the gym. Not too convenient and definitely odd coming out of the gym looking like an... (dramatic pause)... insurance agent! :D
Planning to get me a car next year as well. Have lowered my sights to an Iswara... wanted a Satria but seeing how money and I don't seem to keep company, might be smarter to keep the initial investments a tad lower. :)

Was out for an extended lunch with colleagues and an office friend yesterday when we started talking about savings. The girls in my office are voracious savers, very good with keeping money and managing their finances. The other guy we went with on the other hand, spends all his salary within the month. I'm like that too and it really got me thinking quite a bit.
(before I continue, this blog is NOT an invitation for insurance agents nor investment bankers to make calls to ME)
I have zero savings (:D) and I darn I'm not going to skimp on a good meal for a dollar in the bank. Of course I'll eventually get some insurance for meself (EVENTUALLY, stay away) and start an investment plan when work is a little steadier, but for now, I'm happy to be able to do things that all our student life we weren't able to do! Money can be the root of many evils but it is VERY liberating. :)

Crazy storm yesterday. Never seen so many fallen trees at one go. At least 5 in my work area at last count. (mental note: no parking under old trees).
Hope the rain stays away today coz I sure as heck wanna go home when it's dry. Am still reeling from the long weekend so am mighty lethargic at work. That plus the gym is still closed so no adrenaline rush to pump me up in the mornings. Darn I'm sleepy... all I want is a couch.... the remotee.e...a..a....n...d.....z.z.z.zz...z............................

Ah... It's Tuesday and darn... I miss the weekend :) 5 days off work is so much fun it feels like being a student again! Ah well... back to the daily grind...
Here's a little roundup of my extended weekend.
Thursday
Went to receive a student award from my sponsors. Small affair but at least they gave cash! Woohoo... Had lunch with the Mojo Supremo of Telekoms. Awkward affair. First time I sat at table 1 though, I always thought that the first time will be during my wedding makan!
Came back to the office for a bit. Brought parents round and gave them the quick run through. They ended up talking with my boss for an hour. Gawd, it feels like report card day.
Friday
WOOHOO! Shopping day! Went to IKEA as soon as it opened. Had a good lunch at their cafe. (am growing fond of their food). Then hopped over to Megamall till night time. Parents, brother, aunt and cousin were close to exhaustion. I guess it's a good thing to be going to the gym :) Had fun though... a Nando's dinner capped the day. Woohoo...
Saturday
Went to Summit for a bit for bro to stockpile on his collection of Cetak Rompak CD's. (the skeleton ad is obviously not working). Family left for Melaka late afternoon so it's back to me and my aunt and her three little devils in USJ.
Her IKEA purchases came in the evening, a whole lorry of them. Aunt in a remodelling frenzy so got lots of stuff from IKEA. One good tip, always, ALWAYS pay the 5% extra for assembly. I know I'm thankful she did.
Sunday
Went to KLIA to pick up my aunt from Seattle. Actually, went there just to pick up her luggage and direct her to another flight to Kuantan. Had to leave the house at about 630am so am a very sleepy sleepy boy. Found candy in her bags though so I'm also a happy happy boy.
Time to clear up the mess and make use of the new furniture. Unfortunately, ended up sneezing badly barely an hour after we started. Highly allergic to dust and nose, face and ears turned red and snotty. Had to sleep it off for a bit before I start to gag.
Monday
Gosh... last day of the extended weekend. A little sad but all things must come to end. Went to Pyramid to get me bro a new PC. Took me a while but managed to get a Celeron 1.7Gig machine for about RM1,100. Moderate parts, mostly budget stuff but as long as it can run games, I'm not complaining. :)
Also, ate a whole box of cereal in one sitting. For those who know me, that's not too odd. BUT I used sweetened soya milk instead of plain milk coz we ran out. AND cereal is also sweetened. I never understood the meaning of a sugar rush till now. Phew... is that stars I see?
